Contemplations

Filed under: General, Look at Jesus |

Today I read chapter 17 in the gospel of John, as I was directed to Jesus’ prayer in the garden, by the book I am reading. I wanted to share a few verses for your contemplation:

In verse four, Jesus prayed, ” I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.”

As we strive to be more like Christ, are we glorifying the Father by accomplishing the things He sends us to do?

Verse twenty-three reads, “I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me.”

Our being of one mind and one spirit is not just for our sakes, it is about the WORLD knowing that God sent Jesus to earth. This means our being seperate or divided would accomplish??

And finally in verse twenty-six, Jesus finishes with these very important words, ” and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

God’s love in us, how we could change the world.
